Frank Zappa at The Mosque - November 3rd, 1972

From the October 26th, 1972 issue of the University of Richmond's newspaper The Collegian, comes this great ad for Frank Zappa and his Mothers with guest Tim Buckley at The Mosque (now The Landmark Theater) on Friday November 3rd, 1972. Tim Buckley would die of a heroin overdose less than three years later.

The University of Richmond's Digital Initiatives has 89 years of The Collegian, as well as many other great collections, on it's website.

  2. Jeb Bush got married on February 23, 1974. Either the concert was in 1973, not 1972, or Marvin Bush kept undeveloped film in his camera for more than a year.

  3. What a load of malarkey!

Are we to believe that for 30 years no one in the Bush or Garnica families -- including Jeb and Columba themselves -- ever wondered why there weren't any photos from Jeb and Columba's wedding?

The fact that Columba Bush spends a ton of money on jewelry shouldn't be that big of a surprise and is pretty much par the course, but to expect us to believe Marvin Bush's yarn about why there is only one photo of Jeb and Columba's wedding is asking too much.

I am calling B.S. on this media manipulation/sleight of hand/spin/attempted redirection. But of course that's also par the course for a family of professional liars.

Do we really want another 8 years of this crap?

Zappa himself knew that all the major media outlets peddled mostly lies and propaganda, but he tried to "subtract the spin," by watching many sources. Nowadays, one must READ a ton of independent media to get anything resembling the truth.
