First, the owner of The Boathouse at Rocketts Landing will be opening the new 5700 sq ft Casa del Barco in the "Italianate Building." And speaking of that building, The Locks is the name given to 4 of the buildings along the canal that are being transformed into apartments.
Had dinner at Casa Del Barco recently, and I'm pleased to report that the food is good and the space is well-executed. There are still a few things that aren't completely worked out but they've only been open a couple months so far. The building looks great too--now all they need to do is to get some other businesses open in the area as it's still kind of off by itself. But I think it's positioned to do very well.
